Sexy jobs to bowl your date over

MELBOURNE: Want to be an instant hit with your date on the first day out? Just tell him or her that you're an actor, nurse or personal trainer, at least that will work, finds a survey in Australia. The results from a poll of more than 500 singles for dating site RSVP , have been condensed into a list of the sexiest jobs among Australians, which shows that people Down Under like women kind and buff, and men beefy with a wallet to match. The poll revealed that for women, acting is the hottest job on the block. The celebrity appeal of hotties such as Angelina Jolie has seen actors knock perennial favourite nurses off the top spot. Musicians, personal trainers and doctors also look good on paper to the typical single blokes. But if you're planning to win your guy's heart through his stomach, stop right there, because according to Aussies the least sexy occupation a woman can be is chef. Other jobs that make a woman a dating dud are firefighter, tradeswoman and banker. In case of men, the sexiest occupations are firemen, ahead of chief executives, musicians and professional athletes. "Women basically said it's a return to the brawny male, of being able to fix things at home," the Daily Telegraph quoted RSVP marketing director Lija Jarvis, as saying. "We're not so caught up in the suit and the metrosexual. Women were finding power sexy again. There were many comments about 'I just want to find a guy who is successful and comfortable and willing to look after me to be a tennis wife'," Jarvis said. But don't believe everything you hear, with one in four singles found to lie about what they do for a living. Lying to get laid is common: Almost one in four singles told fibs about their job to impress a date. Finding a date has changed dramatically in recent years with websites vying to play the cupid, and with various dating services that arrange dates among strangers who are terribly short of time to find a partner.
