Patan victim given date rape pills or contraceptives?

PATAN: What were the white pills that were being forcibly fed by arts teacher Manish Parmar to the student of the Patan DIET-PTC college who fell victim of the multiple gangrapes by her teachers? Were these birth control pills or what are known as 'date rape drugs'? The victim has stated that she lost consciousness while being raped and that her pubic hair was shaved off without her realising it. Date-rape drugs have a sedative effect which can incapacitate victims and prevent them from resisting sexual assault. The victim, in her statement recorded before the Asst SP of Siddhpur on February 8, has stated that on January 1 and 11 this year, Parmar had forcefully fed her white pills. During the stay at Kimbua village for internship, the accused are alleged to have gangraped her on both these dates at night. The victim in her statement has said that on January 1, around 10:30 pm, Suresh Patel, Manish Parmar and Kiran Patel had called her to make their bed. While Manish and Suresh were raping her, she lost her consciousness. Around 12:15 am, after gaining consciousness, she went to her room and was in great pain. In the morning, she woke up and went to the bathroom only to find that her pubic hair had been shaved off.
